Our Pastors

Rev. Adam Kaloostian, Minister of the Word & Sacraments

Pastor Adam came to us in July of 2000 as an intern, and was ordained in 2001. In August of 2004, he was appointed to our primary preaching and pastoral responsibilities. Growing up he was not “Reformed,” but near the beginning of his college years he was introduced to the “five points of Calvinism.” That began a six-year faith journey, at the end of which he sought to join a confessional, Reformed church. He and his wife Lena were born and raised in Southern California.

Rev. Ruben Sernas, Minister of the Word & Sacraments

Pastor Ruben grew up in the Roman Catholic Church, left there for Pentecostal churches, and, continuing to study the Scriptures, then sought out a confessional, Reformed church. Pastor Ruben was a member of our church for seven years before he entered seminary. He was ordained in 2009 and appointed primarily to lead our Spanish-language ministry. He was born and raised in Southern California, and his wife Leah came to the United States from the Philippines when she was six years old.

Rev. John Sawtelle, Minister of the Word & Sacraments

Pastor John came to us in 2006 and was appointed primarily to plant All Saints Reformed Church, now meeting in the city of Brea. Pastor John was raised in a confessional, Reformed church. He and his wife Denise were born and raised in Northern California.
