RESTORING LIVES THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
RESTORING LIVES THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
Judas’ House Reformed Prison Ministry shares the hope of the gospel with incarcerated men in California. Under the care of Ontario United Reformed Church, we mentor and disciple men behind bars, helping them grow in Christ, take responsibility, and prepare for new life beyond prison walls.

About Elder James Anguiano
Elder James Anguiano leads Judas’ House Reformed Prison Ministry with a heart shaped by God’s grace. Once incarcerated himself, James encountered Christ in prison and was introduced to the richness of Reformed theology. Now, more than 13 years later, he and his wife faithfully bring the good news of the gospel into prisons in Norco, Chino, San Diego, and beyond. With deep compassion and conviction, James shares the hope of Christ with men who rarely hear sound teaching, shining the light of the gospel in some of the darkest places.
What are the basic articles of faith found in the Bible?
Recently, Elder James Anguiano led a large group of incarcerated men through a 16-week study of Bible Basics by Stephen Nichols, a clear and accessible introduction to the storyline of Scripture and the foundations of the Christian faith. At the end of the course, our congregation joined in the celebration by generously providing each participant with a copy of the Ligonier Reformation Study Bible—a resource that will continue to guide them as they grow in their knowledge of God’s Word.
What is the Christian life?
Currently, Elder James Anguiano is leading an even larger group of incarcerated men through Sinclair Ferguson’s classic book The Christian Life, a rich and practical overview of what it means to follow Christ—covering topics such as grace, faith, repentance, prayer, and the joy of living for God. Many of the men have testified that, for the first time, they are receiving faithful and solid teaching from God’s Word, and their hunger to know Christ more deeply continues to grow.
